A pickup truck driver crossed into oncoming traffic and struck two cars near the East Cobb-Kennesaw boundary on Monday, Sept. 14, leaving him hospitalized with serious injuries.

The three-vehicle crash happened around 4:22 p.m. at Hickory Grove Road and Insdale Drive, according to a Cobb County Police Department press release reported by Fox 5 Atlanta. The police press release placed the location in Kennesaw.

The 41-year-old man had been driving eastbound on Hickory Grove Road with two juvenile passengers when he veered into the westbound lane, police said. Emergency crews transported him to a hospital. His condition has not been updated.

The two juveniles reported injuries but were not treated at the scene. The driver of the second car reported no injuries. A 17-year-old driving the third vehicle had visible injuries but refused medical treatment.

Police have not identified any of the people involved. The cause remains under investigation.
