East Cobb families have a free all-day option on Saturday, Aug. 22, when the Cobb County International Festival returns to Jim R. Miller Park and Event Center in Marietta.
The annual celebration of global food, music, dance, and art runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 2245 Callaway Road SW. Admission and parking are free.
Cobb County Parks, which organizes the festival, announced the date on its official X account Friday, July 17. The department is still accepting applications from food, merchandise, and cultural vendors who want to participate.
What to expect
The festival takes place both indoors and outdoors. A main stage with seated viewing will host live cultural performances throughout the day. Food stalls and food trucks will serve international cuisines, and art and merchandise vendors will line the grounds.
Past editions have featured Polish folk dance troupes, Latin American craft vendors, and grilled street food, according to the county's photo archives. Specific 2026 performers and food vendors have not yet been announced.
For kids, the lineup includes face painting, arts and crafts, a family passport scavenger hunt, a Kids Zone, a global sports village with interactive games, and a meet-and-greet with Parker Barker, the Cobb Parks mascot.

Overflow parking is available in the North Lot on Al Bishop Drive. Shuttle service is available for ADA guests. The park is accessible from East Cobb via I-75 South or Lower Roswell Road to the South Cobb Drive corridor.
