An optometry practice, two chiropractic offices and an auction house are among the East Cobb-area businesses that picked up new Cobb County licenses the week of Aug. 23.

The county's Business License Division issued 57 licenses for unincorporated Cobb County between Aug. 23 and Aug. 30, the Cobb County Courier reported. The batch covers health care, food, retail, contracting and property operations. The licenses do not include businesses inside city limits; cities issue their own.

Several landed on familiar East Cobb corridors.

Health care and wellness

Macwan Eye Group, led by Dr. Rima Macwan, received license OCC044416 on Thursday, Aug. 27, for an optometry practice at 4880 Lower Roswell Road, Suite 20, in the 30068 zip code. The practice's website indicates it is opening soon at that location.

Resonance Chiropractic Neurology picked up license OCC044409 on Wednesday, Aug. 26, at 1947 Hazelwood Drive in the 30067 zip code. Radiant Chiropractic received license OCC044413 on Tuesday, Aug. 25, at 600 Village Trace NE, Suite 150, also in 30067.

Kelsea Newman Sensory Life Academy, an occupational therapy practice, was licensed Thursday, Aug. 27, at 1770 Millhouse Run in the 30066 zip code.

Retail, services and property

Full Circle Auctions & Liquidation Services received its general auctioneer license Monday, Aug. 24, at 64 Holt Road in the 30068 zip code. Post Oak Tritt Real Estate picked up an office-space rental license Wednesday, Aug. 26, at 2155 Post Oak Tritt Road, Suite 119, in the 30062 zip code.

Espilato Studio, a hair braiding business, was licensed Friday, Aug. 28, at 1122 Highland Parc Place SE in the 30067 area. Rise and Shine Commercial Services, a building exterior cleaning contractor, received its license Thursday, Aug. 27, at 4880 Lower Roswell Road, Suite 165-513.

Crest at East Cobb, an apartment complex operated by Nighthawk Cobb LLC, received an apartment rental license Wednesday, Aug. 26. The property is located at 1810 Roswell Road, according to apartment listing sites, and offers one-, two- and three-bedroom units.

Countywide picture

The 57 licenses mark an uptick from the prior week's batch of 47 licenses issued between Aug. 16 and Aug. 23. Beyond East Cobb, the latest round included a Subway restaurant franchise, a used-car dealer on Canton Road and other businesses across unincorporated Cobb.

The county publishes new business listings weekly through its Community Development department.
